On the other hand, when they receive negative comments and feedback or sarcasm, their bucket gets emptier. So, what about you? Are you a bucket filler or a bucket dipper?

Possibly the upper simple comment of a clothes or jewellery things. Perhaps only was interested small against the person. The person was sick and under many modern pressures. I Witnessed leadership throughout my career by men and women who have succeeded in spite of being confronted with great obstacles’ and yet succeeded. Many whom have succeeded in our world have produced great leaders but books will not be written about them but about the individuals they raised. I think of President Richard Nixon’s exist speech to the White House News Corps; as he reflected on his mother paraphrasing President Nixon said: “my mother God Bless her she was a great woman, she was a great leader and no one will ever right a book about her.” Know, there are a ton of books on how successful people become successful, but there aren’t many books written about those people behind the scenes; those that produce great leaders. And, what was it that they instilled of those they influenced to become leaders.

One does not have to be a celebrity to be a leader. Some of our greatest leaders are those that quietly go along performing their duties on a consistent basis and understanding what the mission is; sometimes out of necessity and other times as Dr. Martine Luther King, Jr. would say: “because of the content of their character.” Though Dr. King did not reference from a perspective of leadership, he did however have a point about one’s “content of their character”.

Successful leaders know what they want, they always have a goal in mind and they stay focus on the mission to accomplish the goal. Former President Ronald Reagan was highly driven in the beginning stages of his political career of the need to bring communism to an end. He had a vision; he knew what he was aiming for and was very persistent to see an end to communism. He also, like President Nixon was highly influenced by his Mother, as she was the one who instilled the virtues’ of being discipline and work hard and be prepared for the rough times. When President Reagan became President, his primary foreign affairs agenda was to bring the cold war to an end and as much as possible bring communism to an end. Well, he spearheaded the effort to bring the cold war to an end and communism as we know it today is a communistic system with a blend of capitalism, China is a case in point; quite different from how Karl Marx wrote his Communist Manifesto.

Successful leaders need to be open minded; they must always be prepared to make bold decisions during difficult conditions. Successful leaders must have an abiding love for the learning process as learning never really ceases to stop until we perish. Successful leaders must always be willing to serve and yet let others have the credit. For true leadership it is not about recognition but rather about success at performance.

How Leaders Stay Focused On Their Vision Of Success

Think for a while at a time in place when you were really struggling. Struggling with your career, struggling to find ends meet. People are so got up with the thought of surviving that they forget to soul search the inner thoughts of their ambitions. For many of us we were brought on to this world to for the purpose of demonstrating resiliency. What people so often do not realize; is that under adversity and challenge comes creativity perseverance and determination. It is under the constant pressures of survival and hard work that one becomes motivated to focus on a vision that will ultimately remove them from feeling deficient.

I have observed many times individuals whom have been on the all out dumps and they appear to be stuck in a rut. Yet, many of these very same people stay targeted on identifying a vision. Once they find a desire to reach a goal then they begin to work on a mission toward their vision. For many the ladder to success requires obtaining an education and working in practice; step by step, day by day until they reach the goal.

What many do not realize, is that what one is doing when they are working on their goals and objectives; in essence one is working on their career path. In the process of working hard on your goals it is important that one remain astute on staying rational; do not burn out, do not lose interest but instead rejuvenate your thinking by having fun and enjoy what you are working toward. I am a believer, that one should enjoy life, as in that process your demeanor will reflect on other in a real noticeable way and before you know it people will begin to gravitate to you. Don’t forget successful people have a tendency to associate themselves with successful people so you ought to do the same.

In case you are beginning to wander; where is this going, part of finding your vision and reaching you goals; is to review and assess those that have reached great accomplishments. It is important to associate yourself with people of integrity and who are serious minded and honest individuals. Much of my success stems from associate, friends and many others whom have served as a bouncing board to discuss many of my ideas pertinent to my aspired career goals. Also, they served and help me from lost time from possibly doing the wrong thing; but, rather they were there as consultants to me and as a resource of identifying contacts and connections that are all part of upward mobility.

Be prepared to be flexible on your path toward reaching your vision; however stay focus on what a great mind once said “all things are relative”, my point is, as one may seem to be on a different pathway temporarily, most of the time you will notice that it will help you in reaching your goals. Every transformation that takes place in our world even if it a negative experience will have a learning variable to it. So it is important to stick on the heart of the matter in reaching your intended goals that will ultimately reach that visionary life you are seeking.

Be patient, and have mercy on yourself, always remain upbeat and positive. Success is not easy, it takes time, hard work, and a team of people willing to help; remember that there is a process of trial and error along the way. But, have faith in yourself, your goal, and your friends, do not, ever, never give up, and know that your vision is around the corner.

How Leaders Know The Right Questions To Ask Themselves And Of Others

Perhaps the most important aspects of the learning process are the very basic intuition factors of inquiry. Well, I am sure you are probably saying by now; I know that; but, did you know there is actually an art to that whole concept of inquiry, examination, exploration, I think you might get what I mean. You see in the process of developing yourself one has to constantly be putting to question the goals of your vision. One needs to assess the objectives to your goals and review your expected outcomes to the actual output of your performance accomplishments. Further, the inquiry that takes place in the learning phases to establish a path for developing a hypothesis is quite different from the investigatory process involved with the self searching process; for example one is with the intent of a specific driven purpose on “buying my product or idea” while the other has an intent to formulate a theory for the purpose of identifying unresolved issues.

Now, many have asked me Dr. Baiz,: “I don’t know how to ask the right questions can you help me with that”, my first response, to individuals whom pose that question to me, is: for what purpose are you seeking to ask specific questions. To who and why are you asking those types of questions of a particular situation in the first place. Most all inquiries have an intent variable that is the core motivating factor behind the whole concept of the “gathering of information.” Additionally, keep in mind there are different styles in the talent of information gathering and inquiry; one is personal assessment information such as: How does that make you feel? How long have you felt like that? What do you think can be done about that? Who do you think can help you reach your goal? The other inquiry style is more of an aggregate historical background assessment such: How long has this been going on? When did you notice something was going wrong? What do you want to do about the situation? Do you have any recommendations for a plan of action? There are various styles of inquiry from a behavioral standpoint, as well, to stay astute about, for example one could be calm, mellow, friendly obtained information; while the other could be: a straight forward, cold, no nonsense approach like an abrupt FBI inquiry; where the office get shut down under lock-up and doing their job on an investigation.

So now let’s discuss issues that one might be working on in the process of self improvement, leadership development, business development, etc. has there been a method of self review in posing the right questions of oneself. Can you reach your goal within your vision? Is your goal reachable? Is it possible that you set your goal to high? What is the timeframe for your goal reaching endeavors? Who is going to be part of the team that will help you reach your goals?

A major mistake many commit, before embarking on an improvement plan or augmentation plan professionally is failing to ask on the pertinent questions of clarity. Many times individuals venture on to a professional venture without a clear understanding of their particular undertaking which could be a catastrophic experience down the road. One needs to conduct a feasibility review of the probabilities of a venture; there needs to be some form of a percentage estimate of your success rate. Many times individuals pursue a venture based on: gut feeling, talk, ego, and talk themselves into a position of no return. Understand your strong points and work on what you know are the factors that pose a challenge to you and let your vision be the beam for your drive.

Transcendental Meditation And Other Techniques

The Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique is unique for many reasons. But the most important one is that it provides more benefit than other meditation and relaxation techniques. This was the conclusion of a meta-analysis of 597 studies of meditation practices that was published in the American Journal of Health Promotion. This study found that the Transcendental Meditation program was significantly superior to other forms of meditation and relaxation in a wide range of criteria related to mental and physical health. A second meta-analysis, published in the Journal of Social Behavior Personality, found the effect of the TM technique on self-actualization (growth towards one’s total potential) to be markedly greater than that of other forms of meditation and relaxation.

The TM technique is a unique practice both in its procedure and in the depth and scope of its benefits for the mind and body. Research studies have shown a positive correlation between the technique and a wide variety of benefits. In the field of physical health alone, research has shown improvement in lung function for patients with asthma, reduction of high blood pressure, younger biological age, decreased insomnia, reduction of high cholesterol, reduced illness and medical expenditures, decreased outpatient visits, decreased cigarette smoking, decreased alcohol use and decreased anxiety, to name a few. You can have friends so close to you that they become part of your family. There are ways in which you can transform your relationships to make them this way. It is never an easy task and, you have to begin with yourself. If you are a selfish person filled with negativity and malice, chances are that you will never make good friendships; at least not those that will last forever. You will realize that there is a pattern when it comes to friendships in your life; and it is up to you to put an end to this cycle. You must become the friend you want to have. In other words, good people will be attracted to you because of your good friendship traits. You cannot get rid of this negativity if you are not willing to change. You must want change for you to get it. It starts by admitting that you have not been a very good person. With this you are ready to begin a process in which you can have good friends who really care about you.

To have friends is not enough however; to have good friends is what you should be looking for if you want friendship that lasts forever. Look at the places you are hanging out at. Are you in an environment that will breed friendship? This is a question that you have to ask yourself sincerely if you really want something real. Many religious people will look for friends in churches but, this is not a guarantee that you will meet the friends you want. You have to go a step further and question what kind of people they are. If you are in a particular age group, it will be better if you considered people who are near your age. This is because you will have more in common. Sometimes when we are going about our business, friendly people come along and we are able to establish contact with them. At all times, be open to having friends and, you will see the difference. When you have a lot in common, you will find yourself chatting away and this is the beginning of building a friendship that lasts forever. You have to be honest and sincere when talking to potential friends, remember, you want something real. Friends will stick closer that a brother can only when there is mutual affection and love.

A friendship that lasts forever must be based on trust and love. You also need to spend enough time if you really want to know each other. There are no miracles or magic and you can make a relationship work. It is about not being petty and being people focused on great things that will happen in your lives. To have a friendship that lasts will require you to celebrate with your friends when they are celebrating and, you will also need to cry with them when they are hurting and, you will develop a strong bond which will be unbreakable.

An effective way to deal with this is to plan your work and then work their plan. This can be done at the monthly, weekly or daily level.
The important things is to plan to do those things that are important to you, and then make sure that you do them.

Once of the simplest and most effective stress management tools is right under our noses. Like meditation, diaphragmatic breathing can activate your stress response. This counters the stress hormones and induces and calm and relaxed mind and body.
